Amanda grew up in the East Bay but is currently living and working in Western Washington teaching outdoor education. While she loves exploring the Pacific Northwest, she loves OVY camp so much she is coming down to have another great summer. Amanda began her journey at camp as a CIT and is very excited to be a counselor again. OVY camp introduced her to the wonders of the outdoors and natural life sciences which has led to her finding her passion in outdoor education. Amanda’s favorite part of camp is definitely campfire, meal times, outdoor karaoke and seeing B-slugs! She enjoys painting her nails, making jewelry, going on hikes, rock climbing and tidepooling. She has a firm belief that everyone has a silly side and the best way to live is to embrace it . She is looking forward to all the wonders camp has to offer and being back in her home state of California, it’s been too long since she has seen a redwood tree! Ask her about Sea Cucumbers!
