Miguel is originally from Concord but is now living in San Jose! His journey with OVY Camp began in 2019 as a CIT! Now, he’s thrilled to be able to spend more time with all of the CITs this summer as the Volunteer Coordinator! Miguel has explored many outdoor spaces including the Uinta Mountains of Utah, the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the old growth redwood forests of California (and more) in search of bird species to add to his life list! He’s been a Naturalist with San Mateo Outdoor Education in La Honda and most recently, a Naturalist with Exploring New Horizons in Scotts Valley. In his free time, he enjoys drawing, bird watching, making others laugh, cooking for friends, telling stories and writing poems in English and Spanish! Ask him for a “name that song” challenge!
