Kira lives in Redwood City, where she enjoys art, doing martial arts, and dancing. This is Kira’s seventh year at OVY Camp! She first got involved with OVY Camp as a CIT, then for two years as a counselor, 3 years as program support, and now her first year as assistant director. She first discovered her love for kids by helping out in middle school at a local preschool and hasn’t stopped since. She loves watching campers experience new things and make friends with people they otherwise would not have met. She graduated in May 2023 with a Bachelors of Science in Special Education with a concentration in severe disabilities from Vanderbilt University. She just finished her first year teaching at a local middle school in a special education classroom. Ask her who her favorite superhero is!
